Why our bag has a California warning

California's Proposition 65 requires warnings on products that may expose consumers to chemicals the State of California lists as causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The list includes lead and cadmium, which occur naturally in soil and can be found in trace amounts in plant-based foods, especially cocoa.

SleepCocoa is made with real cocoa and botanicals. Out of caution and transparency, every SleepCocoa pouch carries the following warning:

What we do

• Every batch is tested by Eurofins, an independent ISO-accredited laboratory, for heavy metals, microbial contaminants, identity, and potency.
• We manufacture in a GMP facility.
• We review our ingredient sourcing to keep naturally occurring metals as low as possible.
